Doesn't work for me. I get a message "Automation server can't create object".

Quick Google suggests installing latest Windows Scripting (5.6). Haven't done that yet.

Should I?

Woot - found the issue. The link you have above is incorrect and contains "%20" characters and also a space after "S=Washington,". Remove that additional space, change the "%20" chars to spaces, and it works.

If you are going down the VNC path then look at GenControl http://www.gensortium.com/products/gencontrol.html
It allows you to VNC to a box that doesn't have VNC installed, without requesting permission from the end user, and uninstalls itself afterwards. Usual caveats of firewalls, requiring administrator-level access and an RPC connection apply.

Thanks for the great tip :)

I have been using Ultra VNC SC to provide a basic helpdesk service to many users.

VNC SC requires the users to instigate the connection but it is very easy for them to use.

Keep up the good work all

Thats the whole post;

When you "request" it opens a port. The issue with "forcing" it is that if a firewall is in a way it will not accept a RA connection unless it was requested first. Take a look at your firewalling.
