My whole point was that the overall assumption that we do not get anything out of it just because it is free of charge and paid sponsorships is flawed.

You are a very good interviewer, but you do need a foil to break it up once in awhile. You also need the humor for two other important reasons:

1) To keep Vlad interested in the project.

2) As a means of presenting some tough messages with “a spoonful of sugar.” It’s one thing to lecture someone for being un-professional and another thing to make fun of Joe-Bob’s Bait and Tackle.

You (and Chris and Susanne) are all real people with real lives. The SBS show is awesome for the rest of us. But you guys need to get something out of it.

If nothing else, I assume you never have to buy your own drinks at SMB Nation.

Hang in there as long as you can.

I post something controversial and you folks pack my mailbox but nobody says a thing in public.

Post some common sense and the floods come in.

We need to be more open. Yes, it hurts a bit to see where everyone stands but in the long term it benefits everyone to drop the smoke and mirrors.

Most emails so far are dead on. I can’t believe that so many see it but nobody wants to say it out in public
