Everybody uses email, but not everybody uses Office. Not once in my 10 years working with SBS have I had a client say that they felt cheated because whatever Office version they had purchased had Outlook, so they already had a copy.
You cannot fully utilize Exchange 2007 without Outlook 2007 IMHO. I see it as an integral part of Exchange. If everyone purchasing Exchange (especially SBSers) is expected to have to throw down an additional $75-$100 for Outlook, I think that MS is delusional. On the other hand, if Outlook is so valuable that it needs to be seperated from Exchange, then we should expect to see a significant reduction in the Exchange User CAL price, shouldn't we?

I think they did this, because most people buy Microsoft Office anyway and don't use the copy of Outlook with Exchange. Hence why Exchange 2007 doesn't come with Outlook 07.
They thought it was a good idea, guess we will see.
But I'm talking from the point of small biz computing and not big biz.
