I don’t know why anyone would ever want to try this but OS X 10.5 “Leopard” has already been hacked for installation on a PC. You need a single layer DVD copy of Leopard that you can get off thepiratebay.org and a this patch set.

Leopard on a PC? Just how badly does Vista suck in peoples eyes if they are willing to consider this?

(yeah yeah I had to reset the password again)

I spent $700 to authoritatively say that other than the lack of active directory controls that I now don’t have and no WSUS to patch it(but after this past week that might be a good thing), Apple stole from Vista and Vista stole from Apple.

What’s funny is that Vista is more “open source” as it can be installed on any crappy piece of hardware, whereas I don’t own the bios chip (or whatever piece of the apple mac mini that I merely licensed and don’t own) of the Apple, and was warned to make sure that I buy all the upgrades I planned to because to change out parts would be a pain.

The more things change, the more they are the same.

Parental Controls and UAC are all there on Vista and Mac. But I know a few folks that would love to virtualize a Mac the way you can virtualize a PC.
