Isn't it sad that all of the mp3 players are funky, clunky devices that require cryptic software to load them up, or some HORRIBLE user interface on the device itself (see the Sony Walkman Bean... what were they thinking???) Then Apple comes out with the iPod and everybody has a V8 moment, slaps themselves on the forehead and comes out with something that sorta looks like the Apple product, but not quite.

Meanwhile, we (the consumers) send emails, write blogs, beg, cajole and scream for features and no one (NO ONE) responds until Apple comes out with the next big thing and then the industry trips over themselves to become 75% of what Apple is. What is going on?

It is like the plug-in rechargable car. The first company to come out with a usable product that is not $50K, is going to become FILTHY rich and won't be able to make enough of them. Why the delay?

Hmmm, if Apple makes that car, I wonder if it will have an iPod connector for the stereo? Any other company would wait until 2013 and then tout its inclusion as a brilliant innovation...
