It’s that time of the year… my wife (pictured below) goes on an excruciating month long journey of trying to find a present for me that I haven’t already bought.

So please comment… what would you like for Christmas? What are the geek essentials this year? (assume nothing from Apple because I don’t roll that way)

I’d quite like something from Sonos.com though with a deaf wife and a child to feed not sure that’s going to happen anytime soon!

Apart from the obvious home server i’d quite like a Wireless Desktop 8000 (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=080) to replace my crappy standard keyboard and mouse

I’d like my Shockey Monkey activated so I can see what the hype is all about ;o) I got a welcome email that said I would soon be getting an email with login credentials to start using SM, but it never came. Oh well. If I can’t have my Shockey Monkey, I’ll just take a lump of coal.

Of course, I’m sure I didn’t read something right & Vlad is virtual b*splapping me right now for getting a 2 on the SAT reading comprehension.

What do I want? I want a trip to Las Vegas.

Oh wait, I’m getting that.

Two additional Dell Ultrasharp 24″ Flat Panels so I can have center, left, and right views in FSX…uh…err…I mean so that I can remote into a client site on one, have a web page open for reference on the other, and E-mail in the third. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Home Server would be nice too!

Geeks don’t need geek gifts. Like you said, you’ll but that stuff yourself. Take Vlad to someplace without cellphone or Internet access. He probably doesn’t realize it but those places exist and there’s nothing like an out of body experience to put your business asperations into perspective.
