Microsoft has made Vista & Longhorn Beta 2 (buid 5308.60) available at connect.microsoft.com. I don't think anybody knows yet, I am pulling it down at over 1Mbit/sec vs. my usual connect.microsoft.com rate of 60 Kb/sec. Hurry, hurry, download!

Could this end Google News?

Could this be the way to make a profit off news? Google News has been in beta for roughly three years and will remain so until they figure out how to sell advertising. Unfortunately for them, they just provide links to original news sources which does not allow for targeted ads which means no revenues which means beta forever. Microsoft and AP may have found a way to cash in, not to mention a link into the Windows Media Center Edition. "Stay tuned"
